ART DECO SILVER GUILLOCHE ENAMEL Compact 1934   ART DECO SILVER GUILLOCHE ENAMEL Compact 1934    Stunning Art Deco period sterling silver compact with hallmarks for 1934.  Decorated with fabulous bright blue guilloche enamel.  The interior has the original gilt metal powder frame with a sliding lock & hinged cover.  Maker mark C&N; lion silver mark; Birmingham assay office mark; date letter K for the year 1934.   The gilt metal powder insert is marked METAL FITTING.  It measures 83mm diameter, a nice good size.  The weight is 4.39 troy oz (136.7g) gross including the gilt metal powder insert. When held in a raking light there are scratches to the enamel surface but the enamel has no breaks or chips.  Overall lovely condition.
