This is a very unusual item – a saltern, made in Soviet-era Russia around 1950, and mimicking the style of late 19th and early 20th century imperial Russian silverware.
The product that you are seeing on the photo is a nickel /silver alloy (70/30) called ЮММЕТ i.e. "Jummet", Juvelirnaja metal and most obviously also electro plated.
Standing on three small feet and beautifully decorated, the item can be a perfect part of your collection. Both, the spoon and the saltern, are marked 2ЮММЕТ.
Size
The salt is 2.5” wide and 1” high, the spoon is 3” long. Together they weigh 103gr, although most of that will be the glass liner, which is stuck in place.
Condition
Excellent
